I am a mother of one sweet little boy born in 2013. I have been so incredibly fortunate to stay home with him in our nursing nest and pursue my passions. As of Summer 2015, I took ownership of BusyKidz in Folsom. It is exciting for me to be able to see so many aspects of motherhood, and still have a flexible enough schedule to where I can hold adequate space for my birth work. My journey in the birth community started while I was pregnant and living in SoCal, I could not fathom what I was learning in my natural birthing class when we first started the series. Very quickly after gaining this education and having my own birth experience, my views changed and I fell in love. I finished my degree in Psychology but simultaneously started my career as a birth professional. My credentials include a B.A. in Psychology, IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant), Certified Doula, Certified Placenta Specialist, and CPR certified for both adults and infants. I have also become well educated with Hypnobabies© and can provide the home study materials as well as guidance in your process of hypnosis if that is a comfort method you choose. I am certified for childbirth education through an apprenticeship and mentor. Although I can answer questions and do private mini sessions, I will refer my clients to a childbirth educator that I think will best suit them depending on their needs if they end up interested in taking a full childbirth education course. I research and learn new things about my practices every day. For me, this work is an incredible honor.

My mission through Gaia Care is that women are accompanied in their prenatal through postpartum journey to help ensure a safe, memorable, and satisfying birth and parenting experience. I believe that women need to be well taken care of, heard, and supported during this transition into motherhood. I have made a promise of sustainability unless it is with encapsulation, my promise there is sanitization. Through workshops my goal is to strengthen, bring awareness, and support the birth community. I understand that during this time you become superhuman with strength, as well as succumbed with vulnerability. I have found my passion in providing protection, knowledge, and support throughout your journey for you and your family. I want all families to feel welcomed and that there is an option for everyone. It is most important to me that we change the way we birth in America.

Gaia is the greek goddess of The Earth; the hypothesis that the living and nonliving components of earth function as a single system in such a way that the living component regulates and maintains conditions (as the temperature of the ocean or composition of the atmosphere) so as to be suitable for life; also: this system regarded as a single organism.
